Description:
Abstract:
This feature class contains the 1990 Census Block Group areas and their numbers for the Municipality of Anchorage.
Purpose:
To provide a data layer for various mapping and analytical needs for use with other MOA GIS data sets. Data is stored and maintained as a feature data layer in SDE.
Supplemental_Information:
Census data is organized into blocks, which are aggregated into block groups, which are aggregated into tracts.
This census data changed numbering schema and area boundaries from the 1990 census polygons. We do not have the census blocks and block groups datasets for 2000.
