Abstract: Data is stored and maintaianed as a feature data layer in SDE.
Purpose:
This data was created to have one source that officially defines the city boundaries within the Municipality of Anchorage. Where city in this case defines community, not city as a government entity. These boundaries were defined from what the US Postal Service recognizes as City's for mailing purposes. To provide a data layer for various mapping and analytical needs for use with other MOA GIS data sets.
Supplemental_Information:
This layer is required by GeoLynx software for the E911 dispatch system. Specifications for layer name and attributes were determined by GeoLynx.
